What rental car for a road trip?

We are a family of 7 (5 kids) and doing a road trip from Seattle through Las Vegas (daughters dance comp) and then down to Anahiem in July. We currently have an older SUV that we use if we are all travelling together and then two new vehicles (cars) that we use daily. We decided that we’re going to rent a car for this trip instead of taking our SUV (it’s a 2011 and has a lot of miles so don’t really want to add more).

We currently have a Volvo XC90 and while it’s okay for day to day use, it is a little tight at times. We have an option of renting a mini van, full size SUV (tahoe/armenda/Yukon/expedition) or a premium SUV (suburban/expedition XL/sequoia)

We will be using duffle bags not suitcases and will be bringing some snacks/beverages but not a lot.
