Hostel in Barcelona (for Primavera)
I've seen multiple posts about Barcelona hostels but I had a question specific to my trip. I'll arrive in Barcelona Monday may 27th and staying until Wednesday June 5th. For the last 3 nights, I'll be staying in Hotel Pulitzer. For the first 6 nights, I'm staying in a hostel (or two) but can't seem to decide. I'm basically down to Hostel One Ramblas or Yeah Hostel.
On one hand, I like the social and party aspect of Hostel One Ramblas, but I'm worried it'll be too much. From the reviews I read, people seem to rave about the atmosphere and vibe, as well as hospitality and friendliness of the staff. Also the location seems a little outside of the central city. Yeah Hostel seems to be a much cooler and comfy spot, in a much more interesting part of town with plenty of restaurant options and proximity to monuments. I've read that Eixample seems to be a very LGBTQ friendly neighborhood which is appealing (i'm gay). There's also a pool which is an added bonus.
I thought about splitting my stays, but I'm going to Primavera Sound Thursday-Saturday, and I feel like whichever hostel I stay in at the time I won't really get to experience. Another thing is will I want to stay in the party hostel with people that want to party or want to get back to a more quiet hostel to rest?
I feel like I can't go wrong either way but I just wanted to get opinions before I make my final decision.
