Month long road trip from NE Florida to the mid/northwest. Need some advice and help!
I had a very strong urge today to go on a month long road trip and explore the United States. With my job, time off is not a problem and I will get paid for the time off, which is bi-weekly. I’ve got money saved up so that’s no a huge issue, but I’m trying to be frugal.I want to travel in my car to places north west and not super populated. Hit kind of an unconventional type of road trip. Of course I would like to see some places that are “touristy” along the way, but I’d like to stick to back roads and cool small towns with pretty roads and some history routes.I’ve never done anything like this before, but I know the essentials to bring. Curious if someone could help me with some places I could go.Question #1: how feasible is it to sleep in my car as to avoid hotels and Airbnb’s? (Not opposed to either of those, just trying to be cheap)Question #2: what safety concerns should I be prepared for?Question #3: what lessons have you learned from your similar experiences that I can properly prepare for?Question #4: any places you would recommend I go?Thanks in advance.
