Road Trip Logistics
Hi there,
This post is slightly unusual and may not fit the theme of this subreddit, but bare with me because I could not think of anywhere else to ask.
I'm a writer and I need to have my 16 year old protagonist go on a two night road trip. An 18 year old would be driving for about four hours with a license. The group is to consist of six 16-18 year olds. They'll be camping at a lake for the two nights. They're supposed to crash on the way back due to a hit-and-run motorcycle accident when they're coming back at night. I know, that took a turn.
I'm setting this in the States and I'm not American although my English is fluent so I'm unfamiliar with driving laws there. Can someone please tell me if this scenario is realistic and legal? I have no idea who to ask so I'm hoping some kind soul can help me here. Any recommendations for beautiful lakes for them to travel to would be much appreciated as well!
Thank you so much in advance and sorry again!
