Are you a red flag for solo traveling in Canada? Wtf?

Went on my first solo travel to Lisboa and Sintra. It was amazing. Had a lot of good food, drinks, and enjoyed the many sites it had to offer. I am actually almost cripplingly self-conscious and anxious person. I am doing therapy for that. I decide to do the solo travel to gain a little confidence in myself. The entire Lisbon trip, I did more than what I thought. I got lost on purpose and found my way back every single day with no GPS.

Everything was awesome until I came back using the AC1917 today. Its funny because I thought if anything were to go wrong it would've been in another country. When i came back, I was basically yelled at by some female border officer who asked me all these questions. I understand that's their job but the tone and facial expressions, it made me feel like she was just trying to look for a fucking excuse. Almost felt like she was just trying to either troll me or didn't like me. She was just about to let me pass but my ego got in the way and I asked her why she was asking me in such a manner and she said (not an exact quote and maybe I misunderstood) because you went to Europe alone and are coming back, you know who else does that? I don't fucking know, regular people? Not sure if she was implying refugees or terrorists or what. Throughout the entire conversation when she was grilling me, I made sure to let her know that I am a citizen because I thought at least she can trust me and get off my back. But apparently, at least from her answer, it seems that solo travelling and not declaring anything (because I didn't buy shit!) is not good. She then told me to go to another booth to talk to another person just like her.

That person asked me a lot of the same questions, but also asked me what I specifically did for the 5 days I was in Lisbon (i mean, people go for 2 weeks to months!!). She made me literally name all the places I went for sight seeing and also made me show her pictures and explain them on my phone. At that point, I basically caved and border line cried (you know how your voice gets when you are just about to cry but are talking?) because I was like man wtf did I do wrong? and just because I asked a question, you made me goto another officer and talk to them to do the same shit again? What torture. At least the second person was a bit nicer. I did not like showing my phone and pictures but whateves, at least she was talking to me like a normal person. When I explained to her what happened she basically said that maybe the officer just had a resting bitch face. Sure, possible but not from her expressions, and the tone of her voice.

As I was leaving the booth finally, I saw the first person speaking with two other officers I am assuming her supervisors. I was stupid and did not get any badge numbers and I am not going to do anything because all that means is, you are going to get treated like shit the next time you go through them. They basically act like the Vatican in their small zone. I do see that their job is important in keeping our country safe but I do not think bullying people is the way to go, and then just making them do the whole thing again just because they called you out flexing. One of my friend also had a similar experience, where they did not understand why he went to Mexico alone and questioned him for three hours and asked him about his personal and sexual life.. like wtf?
