I am planning my first solo to Italy, 4 days in Rome, 6 in Florence/Tuscany area, and 2 in Venice. It seems like all the advice I get is "Beware of pick pockets, they are so smart and know how to get your stuff." I have been to places where I see a lot of that, but really, I feel a little apprehensive now, because I have a bad knee, and can't really maneuver my luggage between steps of trains, and keep a look out for pick pockets at the same time. Does anyone have similar experiences?
