Do you usually gain or lose weight when on the road? Worried about pants not fitting after a while.
Maybe I'm overthinking this.
I'll be travelling for a year, hiking and camping frequently included. I expect that lifestyle to be radically different than the one I'm leading (stuck with) right now. I've been a weakass for a few months now due to working overtime at a desk and eating like a broke student (skipping meals and miserable breakfasts). It's hard to predict how my body will react to the constant walking, hiking, cycling, farm-work, and a bit of bodyweight training, mixed with a better & more consistant nutrition and an increase in alcohol intake.
I'll have one pair of pants (+ 1 short). I'm willing to invest in some high quality ones, but I'd rather have them fit me the whole way. I'd been wearing 29 for years, but recently found that my regular jeans seemed a bit loose, even thought on my paper I'm still around the same weight. The pants I'm looking at are just perfect at 28, but they're also tight, like I couldn't add half an inch to my waist without bursting the button. Considering going for 29 just in case, but this would mean they wouldn't fit as well right away, and if I actually lose fat (the little I have anyway), it'll get only worse.
So, am I overthinking this?
