Resources from 6.5 months in Latin America

This is a gift from someone who loves planning and documentation.
I just got back to the states after traveling from August 1, 2018 to February 12, 2019 through 12 countries in Latin America. I moved on average every 3 days from place to place while focusing on cultural learning, hiking, and beaches. I stayed the majority of time in hostels while trying to keep to a budget of $30usd per day.

A Google My Map .kmz with hundreds of researched as well as found in person locations to check out. You can create your own map in the My Maps app or in your browser then import the .kmz file which includes places of interest, hikes, and lodging recommendations. Then you can even view your My Map as layers in regular Google Maps.

An Excel workbook (you can open this using Google Sheets) with sheets detailing 1) the best time to visit these countries in the form of a Gantt chart which is how I planned my route 2) Details specific to each location and country as well as budget considerations for each 3) Apps / tools I recommend checking out and 4) A brief to do list in preparation for your trip.
