[25 M] Need ideas for summer trip to London + ???
Hi all, first time poster on this sub. I’m looking for any and all advice regarding my upcoming trip. I’ll be spending 11 full days in Europe, flying into London, from late June-early July.
For a bit of background on my European travel history, I’ve been to Athens + numerous Greek isles, Paris, Madrid, Barcelona, London, Rome, Florence, and Naples. Regarding travel interests, I enjoy history, art/architecture, and nature. I do like museums, but wouldn’t want them to be the focal point of the trip. I like good food and nightlife as well, but I’ll be traveling solo and on a budget, so I would probably deemphasize those two aspects—unless they are essential to a particular place.
I'm not sure how much this helps, but since I was urged to include a lot of information about myself, some of my favorite cities in North America include: Boston, Montreal, Asheville NC, Ann Arbor MI. Not sure if that context translates well or is beneficial regarding my interests.
Since I am flying into London, I wouldn’t mind spending some time there, but where else? I know I don’t have a lot of time, but could I see three places (London + 2 others close by)? Or maybe I just see two (London + somewhere further away, i.e. Germany)?
Regarding my budget, I would prefer to keep it reasonably low (daily hostel + day’s food + 1-2 “experiences”).
I speak English only, but I would also be able to navigate through a Spanish-speaking country reasonably well.
This isn’t my first time traveling, nor is it my first time traveling solo, but it is my first time traveling solo in Europe. Any thoughts, suggestions, or tips?
More specifically, what would 3 places be too ambitious? If not, which three might make sense regarding where I’ve been previously and considering my interests? What is the best way to travel to these closer places?
