Oh mah lord Paris... where to start?
Just looking at the map gives me a headache. It looks ridiculously big. though beautiful, street network looks like somebody sharted uncooked spaghetti onto a plate. As a European I'm used to streets all over the place, but the deliberate way Paris was designed just makes it more and more confusing from above.
Besides the obvious main sights I've no idea what to expect from Paris when I go for three days later this year. I heard somebody say just stick to a specific area and explore that, any useful breakdown on the different areas of paris? I'll be staying beside Gare du nord.
