Just bought my plane tickets for my first solo travel to Europe! Advice really welcome :)
Hey! I finally got the courage to buy tickets for my first time solo travel. This sub helped so much :)
I am a 22yo brazilian f going to Amsterdam, London and Paris (in this order) staying 4 nights in each place. I'm going this July!
I have backpacked before through Latin America, but this is my first time going solo.
Budget: About 60 Euros a day to spend.
Interests: I am a huge fan of walking around and getting the feel of the city. I don't care too much about fancy food/drinks, so I don't want to spend a lot of money on it during travels. I would really enjoy visiting parks, public spaces and flea markets. I enjoy museus but not as the only activity of the day. I'm also not a fan of huge touristy spots/ landmarks. For example, I would rather go to a really nice public park than spend hours in line to go to the London Eye. Last but not least, I enjoy a cool bar or low-key music festival, but clubbing and crazy parties are definitely not my thing.
I speak English fairly well and I manage in French. Dutch is out of my league.
I have loads of questions and butterflies in my stomach! Any advice is welcome.
What are some must see places? What should I avoid?
Being a girl, is there anything I should be specially careful of?
Should I buy the train tickets in advance or do I just buy them when I arrive there? From Amsterdam to London should I go by train or do I take a ferry?
