Anyone been out there that time of year? I’m going to visit someone but in case it doesn’t go well I’d love some suggestions in case this turns into a solo trip.

I’m visiting someone I met who lives in Gallivare. If the spark is still there between us he can be my tour guide but if it’s awkward I’d like options for the Lappland region of Sweden since it’s remote and I don’t want to eat up too much of my time moving around. I like hiking and nature a lot as well as museums and archaeology. I’d like to keep my budget to $50 a day if possible.

I’ve never backpacked in Europe but I understand most people in Sweden speak English fairly well. I’ve backpacked solo through Central America so I consider myself reasonably experienced.
