Philly to LA for 3 nights in October Advice?
My girlfriend and I are planning on taking a trip to LA in October for our anniversary and wanted to spend three nights (Thursday to Sunday) and I was just curious about any advice on a couple of things.
First - Hotels
We will be flying in and want to avoid driving at all costs - Ubering wouldn't be a big deal but I would prefer to use as much of the Metro/public transit as possible. Walking to destinations from public transit won't be that big of a deal either. My question here is what hotels/area would be the best for this? I was looking at staying close to the airport, is that a good idea or no? She has a strong preference for Couryard Marriotts and there is one right at LAX which is reasonably priced and we would just hop on public transit at the airport. Would it be better to stay at LAX (I don't really care how long it would take to get from the airport to LA, it just makes life easier being right near the airport) or stay in Downtown LA and be walking distance from the attractions? The cheaper the hotel the better, but also at least decent. What time does the public transit run until?
Second - Attractions
Now of course I'm going to search the subreddit up and down to find good places but I was just curious while I have the thread if I could get any recommendations on must-see places in the area that are easy to get to via public transit. We're open to pretty much anything that's fun so I'm open to all suggestions.
