Had to cancel my first solo trip last minute...
I can't believe this happened, I was so excited for my first solo trip to Thailand (I barely travel to begin with). I had my ticket booked a month in advance... I thought my flight was tonight at 1230AM, turns out it was last night (found out this last night at like 3AM as I was trying to pull an all nighter to adjust my sleep). I booked it on Dec 9 at 1230AM and I guess since I've been so busy with assignments and exams, in my head I thought my flight was Saturday night.. but it was actually just super early Saturday.... couldn't change my flight as it would've been almost triple the amount I paid. I had everything ready and packed too. This semester has been a pretty depressing time in my life and this trip was the big step towards my mental health, I was so excited to challenge myself and I wanted to come back feeling refreshed and ready to start new. Not to mention, the holidays are the worst time for me, especially with SAD. Not sure why I am writing this, but I guess I just need some words of encouragement haha. I'm doing my best to tell myself everything happens for a reason, but this trip was so important to my mental health and it's crushing that I won't be able to go anymore.
