Eloping to Africa in February: Tanzania or South Africa?

SO and I are planning a February trip to Africa to elope/honeymoon and have about two weeks available. We've never been to Africa.

Ideally we'd spend 4-5 days on a nice beach, 4-5 days on safari, and a few days to explore a new town.

We are considering Tanzania or SA, and I could use some advice about the pros and cons of each.

I've read every safari post I could find on here - thank you! - and have done a fair amount of reading about different destinations.

I understand that February is a bit too early for the great migration in Tanzania, but that it's also wildebeast calving season, which might be cool to see. And there are also migrating whale sharks near Zanzibar that time of year. Zanzibar in general sounds like an amazing place to visit.

Cape Town also sounds like an amazing city: museums, wineries, Robbin Island, beautiful gardens, penguins. It sounds like the safari experience in SA's national parks might be inferior to what one might see in Tanzania. Is that fair to say? Of course, having never done a safari before, I have no frame of reference, so Kruger would probably blow my mind either way.

Ideally we could do both countries, but the 7-hour flight from Cape Town to DAR seems like a waste of a day when we only have two weeks available.

Our budget is about $200 per person, per day, not including flights. We don't require high-end lodging and have a lot of experience traveling around southeast asia for about one-quarter that amount, for what that's worth. We like museums and cities and UNESCO sites and gardens and seeing animals in their native habitats, and sitting on the beach for a few days.

TL/DR: Cape Town sounds cool! Are the safari options in SA as good as what we'd get in Tanzania? How are the beaches?

Tanzania has baby wildebeasts, and Zanzibar, and whale sharks. But no cities as cool as Cape Town, and no Winelands to take a lazy day or two to travel through.

Finally, if anyone has any recommendations for people who can help get me hitched on a beach in either country, please let me know! Thanks for your help.
