Last minute need for EZpass or Sunpass or some payment alternatives

Hello,

I had an old EZPass that I hadn’t used in a while and no longer have. I need to travel from Charlotte to PA along I-77 and I-8 within the next two days. I do not want to stop and pay cash tolls.

I read that Walmart sells EZPass but the ones I have contacted do not. I heard I can get my license plate added to my daughter’s account and that I could still go through the EZPass / SunPass lanes without a transponder and without paying cash because they would capture an image of my license. But I also heard that sometimes that does not work and I could get charged from the start of the tolls till where my license was captured.

Any advice? Please don’t tell me I should not have waited till the last minute. There are issues involved and this is for attending the funeral of a young person in the family.
