Winter Driving in Colorado
My friends and I are planning on driving from the Northeast to Colorado for a ski trip in mid-January, and I’m wondering if this is safe with the cold weather and possible snow storms?
I’ve been on a cross country road trip before so I know the gist of what to expect, but that was in the summer. To outline our route, we’d be going from MA to Chicago to Denver/Breckinridge and back. (Also, would the road from Breckenridge to Vail be open?) We’re planning on getting approved snow tire chains, but our car does not have 4WD. We are all from MA and used to driving in the snow anyway.
Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated!
