*Wheelchair users* My family would like to take a 2 week road trip this Sept/Oct during a school break. My 9 year old son is in a motorized wheelchair. I was hoping that anyone with actual accessibility experience could let me know their favorite outdoor places to visit.
We will be leaving from Texas and are willing to drive almost anywhere over the time frame. With COVID and my kids being younger, I really need all of the places/activities to be outdoors. We have been to multiple national parks in Colorado, Utah, and Arizona. I look through the national parks webpage, but sometimes it doesn’t feel accurate and it’s hard to base a whole trip around a park I can’t necessarily get verified that it would work. (I’ve had this happen. Travel all the way there and find out the accessible trail really doesn’t work for him). I appreciate any help that can be provided! :)
