1 Week in Portugal - Lisbon, Sintra and Porto?
I’ve booked return flights to Lisbon from Edinburgh from 21/5 to 28/5. I arrive at 6pm on the 21st and my flight departs at 6:25pm on the 28th, so I have almost exactly 7 days in Portugal.
I decided that a night in Sintra was a must as the Palácio Nacional da Pena was what motivated my trip, and booked accommodation in Sintra for the 26th May since I read that hostels etc. in Sintra fill up fast, and availability was already limited by the time I booked. However some stunning pictures on Instagram have made me wonder if I could feasibly travel to Porto as well in this time, or if this would result in me missing out on what Lisbon has to offer.
Has anyone tried to cram Lisbon, Sintra and Porto into one week? Is Porto worth worth the three hour train journey?
Please let me know about your experiences, and any other Portuguese recommendations!
