Move from Western Mass to Western Virginia route trips
Forgive me if this isn’t the right sub, but my S/O and I are moving from the Springfield area of MA to Stuarts Draft VA next week and I was wondering if y’all had any tips on the best route to take? I was thinking of taking the 91 through CT onto the Wilbur Cross Pkwy (15 I think?), onto the 287 over the Tappan Zee bridge to avoid NY. Any other suggestions? From there I’m not sure what our best route would be without adding too much time. Main purpose of skirting around the 95 is to avoid real hectic areas. If it helps, I’m considerably new to driving, but can handle myself and I’ll have a co-driver to take over when I need breaks or through the more hectic areas.
