Need help with buying a car in USA for our roadtrip
Dear Redditors,
My girlfriend and I are planning to make a roadtrip next year from east to west (Atlanta to LA). We want to travel by car to feel the absolute freedom of the United States. We’re both Dutch and 22 years old. We are young and that’s why renting a car is pretty expensive for us. We hope that somebody can help us with buying a car. Maybe you had the experience for yourself and selled the car at the end of your roadtrip. Or you’re a US citizen and know how buying a car works. Also insurance is pretty unclear. If we want to contact a company mostly we already have to submit a address. But we don’t have a US address since we are European. We read a lot of blogs but most of them are over 10 years old. So we’re not sure if they’re still accurate.
So our question is, can somebody please help us from their own experience. And if you’re a US citizen maybe you want to help us when we arrive or meet us along the way. One reason to make our roadtrip is to get to know new people and make friends :).
