Interesting (COVID friendly) things to see/do along i80 Nevada?
Doing a road trip next month to Yellowstone. We are leaving from Northern California, once we hit Sacramento we will likely be on I80 until we hit the junction that leads up to Twin Falls. I know I80 has a reputation of being incredibly boring, but I was wondering if there is anything worth seeing along the way/stopping for? (I’m thinking more outdoor things as COVID is still a thing and also many indoor sites might be closed.)
We are thinking of stopping the first Night in Winnemucca in either a cheap motel or dispersed camping on surrounding BLM land. The second night we are planning on camping at Craters of the Moon National Monument before heading to Yellowstone the 3rd day.
