Massachusetts to Denver and back
We’re looking at doing a four week road trip next year, from Massachusetts to Denver and back. Other than Binghamton, New York for relatives, and Denver for a convention, nothing it really carved in stone, though we’re giving strong consideration to a number of national parks, including Yellowstone, a few in Utah, Petrified Forest, and Monument Valley.
What we’re missing is what to do and see in the Plains and Midwest areas. The South Dakota badlands and Mount Rushmore are possibilities, though I’ve hear the latter is disappointing. We’ve been to St. Louis, and don’t need to go back but wouldn’t rule it out. We’ve also been to Chicago multiple times. I suppose it’s possible to just speed through these areas, but it would be nice to find other things worth a stop.
One thing we do like in addition to the parks are zoos, which makes Omaha a possibility.
Any suggestions are welcome.
