I need your recommendations! 1 month in Asia (or nearby)
Currently living in Vietnam so the closer to VN, the better in terms of flight costs.I enjoy new cultures, chaotic and dense cities where you can really see how people live differently, aesthetically pleasing places for photography, vegetarian food, history. Not really into nature/beaches but open to having my mind changed. Enjoy drinking but not in a hyper party atmosphere.Want to keep it as cheap as possible too, so that rules out places like Japan for now unfortunately.I have already been to (and don't particularly want to revisit):VietnamThailandCambodiaNorth IndiaHong KongMy current short-list:Laos - cheap and interesting, worried it might be too similar to Vietnam or Thailand.Myanmar - the country is relatively 'new' to tourism, so might be an interesting experience, but worried there might not be much to do in the cities.South India - I absolutely loved India, but I didn't get a chance to explore the south on my last trip.Sri Lanka - Cheap to fly to, but seems like it's very nature-oriented and also better for couples or small groups rather than solo.Malaysia - food would be great, but the cities might be too modern and lacking character.Egypt - This is a little pricier as it's further away, but within my budget. It would obviously be the trip of a lifetime (who doesn't want to go to Egypt?), but again, I'm thinking that I might enjoy it with a friend more.Any other ideas?
