Do you think height matters as a male solo traveller?
Hey guys,I'm planning on traveling to Egypt soon and will probably backpack there for around 3 months. I'm a 21 y/o male who's around 165cm so I'm pretty short.I went backpacking in Southeast Asia and it was pretty fine because the average height over there is around my height. I felt kind of left out however whenever I hung out with my hostel-mates because they were usually tall Europeans. It made me feel like a kid since I'm already pretty young, but with the height difference, it felt even moreso. Does anyone ever feel a sort of uneasiness like this?Do you think height impacts your travels at times?It seems like it's a bit more dangerous if I were to travel by myself in places like Egypt than in Southeast Asia because I feel like I'd be smaller than the general population. via /r/solotravel http://bit.ly/2ZFcn7Q
