There is an Android app called Too good to go ( I have used this app only in Europe, but I am sure there will be similar apps elsewhere).

It is basically all the delicious, perfectly edible food that stores and restaurants have to throw out at the end of the day because it was extra.

You can use this app to order a meal which will be prepared using this food. It is a cheaper alternative for equally good food plus you are doing your bit towards not wasting food. I have used it several times..
