Hey,

This might be a really stupid question, but on my way back from Thailand this summer, I have a 2 hour layover in Vancouver coming home. My friends live in Vancouver and I'd like to stay and visit for a few days. I called and asked the price to change my flight or extend the layover and all quotes are north of $500~ pricewise which is absurd. Even eliminating that leg of my ticket is at least $400.

So, I was wondering... If I were just to leave the airport and stay in Vancouver, missing my connecting flight from Vancouver --> home, what would happen? I've missed flights before and nothing has ever happened. Would I be charged? Arrested? I'm a Canadian citizen.
