10-day solo trip to Poland in early May
I have decided to take my first-ever solo trip - to Poland. Flights are booked and I have made a rough itinerary. It would be really helpful if I could get inputs from the travellers out here!
Itinerary:
Day I - flight lands; day 1 at Warsaw
Day II - train to Krakow; day 1 at Krakow
Day III - day 2 at Krakow
Day IV - day 3 at Krakow
Day V - train to Poznan/Wroclaw; day 1 at Poznan/Wroclaw
Day VI - day 2 at Poznan/Wroclaw
Day VII - train to Gdansk; day 1 at Gdansk
Day VIII - day 2 at Gdansk
Day IX - train to Warsaw; day 2 at Warsaw
Day X - flight out in the afternoon
I am interested to explore the cities by foot, view the museums and sights, absorb the culture, and relish the cuisine. Can you help me with clarifying these questions:
- Is this a fair itinerary?
- Which place would you recommend - Poznan or Wroclaw?
- What would be the better means of travel between the cities - bus or train?
- Is there anything else I should know about travelling in Poland?
- And do you have any tips for a first-time solo traveller?
Thank you for your responses!
