How to book accommodation in rural/off-the-beaten-path areas?
Hi guys, so I'm M23. Until now I've always traveled to more frequented places, like huge cities or capitals or some places that are known for being mass tourism spots (Hurghada in Egypt, Palma de Mallorca in Spain, etc.).
As I am starting to travel alone on my own, I want to visit places that are interesting as well but are more off the beaten path, like the Carpathian mountains in Romania, or eastern Turkey, but even places in central Europe are interesting as well, like Tuscany or central France.
Now my question is: How do you plan your itineraries when you want to visit a specific place? Do you book flight and accommodation separately or do you book everything together? Where do you stay if there aren't many tourists in a place and thus not many hotels?
