best length of time for a cross country road trip?
Hey all, my boyfriend and I are planning a road trip around the continental US for after we graduate and I'm looking for some advice here. We are planning to leave out of the Atlanta area and do a loop around to the PNW and then the northern mid-west and come back down the east coast. I would like to camp mostly, but cheap lodging is also ok. We'd like to see some (lots) of the national and state parks around the country and scenic drives are my favorite.
For those that have done a similar trip, how long do you recommend we spend on the trip? We were thinking 2 to 3 weeks would be best for our schedules, but we are in the very early stages of planning so all and any advice is welcome and appreciated.
Also I'd like to state that we have little camping experience, but we are both down for an adventure. Thank you!!
