I just wonder, is there any point in going to the beaches and islands in the southern part of Thailand if you can't swim? I'm thinking of places like Ko Pha Ngan, Koh Samui, Lanta, Phuket, Phi Phi, Krabi, etc

I've never been on a beach holiday or to Thailand before, so not 100% sure what to expect for someone who can't swim. Seems like a lot of the beach/island activities involves swimming or requires an ability to not keep yourself afloat when in water.
