Any advise, or places/cities that I may be missing on my Central Mexico itinerary?

So this summer I plan on visiting central Mexico for roughly 35 days. I'm starting my trip in Mexico City (1 week), then taking buses to Queretaro (2 nights), Salamanca (2 nights), Guanajuato (2 nights), Leon (2 nights), Guadalajara (3 nights), Morelia (3 nights), and lastly Ciudad Altamirano (2 weeks). I'm visiting friends in Salamanca that I met on a solo trip to Toronto last New Years, and a lot of family in Altamirano. I also have an aunt in Mexico City that I might be able to stay with, besides that it will just be solo trip. Budget is roughly going to be $2500 including around $400 for a round trip flight from Florida. Am I missing any cities that are not to far off from any of the cities listed, should I stay longer/shorter in any city? Also any must do's in any of the cities listed? Thanks y'all!!!
