First time solo traveler - Itinerary help for 5 weeks in Europe
Hi all!
I'm planning my first solo trip this late May after I graduate. Its gonna be a 5 week long (34 days) adventure across Europe. I have a rough draft of what my itinerary will be like, but I'd like some feedback and suggestions on what you guys think! I'll be leaving late May from Toronto to London and returning back in the end of June.
A little detail about me: Would definitely want to go explore sites, museums, attractions, sceneries, etc. during the day. I'll plan on taking walking/guided tours if available. But when night come around, I would like to hang out with fellow travelers and hit up local bars and/or clubs.
So far, here's my rough idea of my itinerary:
Arrive in London May 23

Antwerp (3 nights) - could potentially stay longer to visit Ghent/Brussels

Total so far: 27 nights
Return to London - Flights leaves from London to Toronto June 26 noon
Here's my projected travel plans for that 5 week: Route
As you can see, I have ~1 week unaccounted for during my travel. My question is how should I allocate my time in Europe to experience it the best I can?
Should I spend more time at a specific city or add some to my itinerary?
Are there must see sites that I have to add?
Also since this is prime tourist season, should be worried about booking in advance?
Note: I'll plan to take the train as my main mode of transportation in between cities
Budget: $4,500 USD excluding airfare (roughly but don't want to get too crazy)
I'll appreciate any suggestions and feedback I get. This is gonna be my first trip as I want to make it a good one!
