First solo Eurotrip - Spain and Portugal in September

Hi all,

I’m embarking on my first solo Euro trip in September. I’m planning to divide my time between Spain and Portugal. Flying in from Toronto, I’m going to start with Barcelona. Thinking of spending 3-4 days there. From there, I’m thinking of Porto for about 2-3 days then finish off with Lisbon for 3-4 days.

Do you think this is sufficient time for each city for a first-timer? I thought about adding another Spanish city (either Sevilla or Madrid) but I feel like it’ll be rushed.

I’m going to stay at hostels. Looking at Pars Teatro or Cash Gracia for Barcelona and Home hostel in Lisbon. Haven’t looked into Porto yet. Any one stay at these hostels before and what was your experience like? I like to be social at hostels so I’m looking forward to meeting people there.
