First time with a layover that spans longer then 4 hours. I'm mildly concerned that my bag might get lost Istanbul for the check in but I'm not sure how serious my worries are. Flying in at 3:30am and flying out at 12.30pm. I'm flying back from the EU to USA.

I'm mostly concerned because my cousin was going to lend me his big hiking back and i'm not sure if it's suppose to be TSA approved. Was thinking about bringing back a pair of clogs for my sister and hard cheeses so I'm worry it's going to be beat up in the transfers...though I could wrap my clothes around it.
