City Walking Tours
Some background: 26M, first solo trip. I’ll be in Reykjavik, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, and Brussels in late June/early July, for a little over three weeks. I’m spending 3-6 days in each city.
On my first day in each city, I’m considering doing a walking tour to familiarize myself with the area and hit the “major” attractions. That way, I can get a feel for the city, develop some sense of direction, and get an idea of the major landmarks.
That said, I’m not sure where to start in looking for these. I’ve seen several options that range from 1-2 hours to a full day, some that cater to specific interests (art, music, war, bars, etc), some that include meals and drinks, some that cater to specific communities (LGBTQ, Americans, etc)... I’m suffering a bit of analysis paralysis.
Does anybody have experiences with certain companies or types of tours, particularly in these cities? Or would you recommend a different method of getting to know each city?
