Was that an attempt of pickpocket?
Yesterday after going through Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, I went to a Cafe across the street for lunch. I put my backpack on the seat next to me since the store had plenty of seats.
A women was on the phone sat behind my backpacks seat. I felt a slight movement of the chair so I turned my head. Nothing, and a second time. This time I saw her ankle around the leg of the backpack chair. I didn't want to risk it and just put my backpack on the floor between my legs. She left the cafe not long after,still on the phone. Was that an attempt or am I just too paranoided? My backpack design should be pretty hard to pick but still....
BTW I made it through Barcelona and heading to Madrid. Wish me luck.
