Nepal/Tibet/Bhutan Recommendations?
Hey fellow travelers--
I'm working on planning out a trip in September/October for about 3 weeks in the Nepal/Tibet/Bhutan area. I would like to take two tours based from Kathmandu, and I wanted to see if any of you have recommendations on operators or things I should definitely do or not do, so here are my thoughts:
Fly into Kathmandu, take a day to not be on a plane.
Take an ATV tour to Tibet by way of Everest base camp, fly back to Kathmandu. This is the tour I am thinking of... Thoughts on that? I'm mostly doing this first for acclimatization purposes.
Fly over to Bhutan and do the Druk Path trek, of which I've found three operators I'm debating... Kandoo, G Adventures, and Access Bhutan. Any thoughts on treks of this nature? This will be my first time traveling for trekking, usually I'm going places to scuba dive.
Go back to Kathmandu, eventually fly back home. All told, it should take about 3 weeks, so I can have a day or two between flight/tour/tour/flight (you know, in case weather is bad or something else).
Let me hear about your experiences with anything similar, or these companies! Thanks!
