Can I leave a backpack full of things I over-packed and won't need with my hostel for a few weeks while I travel elsewhere?
I'm spending 3 weeks going around Thailand, with my start and finish in Bangkok (for the flights). Im 2 days into my first leg in Bangkok I realised I over-packed and would like to leave a few things in a small backpack with my hostel to allow me to travel more easily. I'll then collect it when I come and stay here again in 3 weeks time.
Things I'm leaving:
-
An old a netbook+charger. Probably only worth £100-150. Would save me like 1.5kg
-
A 2.2L water bottle. I read that I should bring a water bottle and refill it, but it turns out to be easier to just buy water from 7-11 since a 2L bottle warms up before I can drink it. Would save me like 5L worth of volume (because it's an odd shape)
-
My smaller backpack. It takes up far too much space in my big 45L rucksack. I've bought a cheap backpack that takes up next to no space and I can use it as my daypack instead.
Has anyone ever done this before? Anyone ran into any problems doing this?
