Hello all,

Naturally, I've reached that stage where I'm starting to worry and wondering what I'm doing flying to Colombia... I fly in 3 days and after reading online about safety precautions and to be wary of crimes a slight bit of fear has creeped in. Especially the constant reminders of keeping wary and not bringing your phone with you or the potential to get drugged up and lose your will as your cash is withdrawn from an ATM.

Now don't get me wrong, I feel excited and privileged to visit this beautiful country and I don't want to cancel. Its just the safety fears and language barrier concerns which are starting to get to me. This will be my first proper solo trip! Should I relax?
