Heading to Paris in August
Have a 3 night stay in Paris planned in August, arriving early ish and leaving in the evening, so I'll have most of 4 days, and I've been hearing differing accounts of whether or not August is part of the peak tourist season.
There's really 3 main things on my to do list, Musée d'Orsay, Musée de l'Orangerie, and Musée Marmottan Monet, everything else is a bonus. The Luxembourg gardens seem pretty cool, and I'm staying in Montparnasse so it's pretty close by. Figure I'll skip the Louvre this time around and maybe come back one day when I've got time to spend solely on wandering in there.
Food-wise I'd love to find out if anyone has any recommendations, especially for pastries/crêpes, but also if there's anything that's on a must try list from the grocery store, I might check out buying some food from the grocery store to save a bit of money.
