Looking for advice for travel times
Hi all
I'm planning on spending the summer driving from south UK down the west coast, then south coast of france and into the balkans.
Roughly from my house down to the south west region of France is about 24 hours.
Then the next stretch will be about 20 hours to the most north westerly point of Italy.
I'm looking to get an idea of the right amount of time to spend doing this. Understandably, the trip isn't just about the driving. We want to stop and enjoy the places we like. This may mean that some places we stay at for 1 night before moving on, or even 2 nights if we really love it.
What would be your guys idea of a comfortable amount of time to do each leg of the journey.
Is 5 days too few? Is 7 good? Or more like 10?
At the moment I'm leaning more toward 7 days, but please give your input and reasons why you think your length of time would work.
