First time solo traveller wanting some tips and input on London, Edinburgh and Ireland
Hi!
In May this year I will be going on my first big overseas solo trip from New Zealand to the UK/Europe (prior to this I’ve only been to Australia with friends) I have my itinerary mostly planned out as I’m also seeing some concerts around the uk and doing an Eastern Europe tour with Topdeck. I was wanting to get some advice from other solo travellers on things to do in certain places, I’d also love any advice or tips from experienced travellers to a first timer on things like what to do and what not to do while travelling and while staying in hostels. Also any tips on how to meet people in hostels, things to avoid, useful items to take travelling or just any other helpful info!
I’m in London for about 6 days and then another 4 days later in the trip, I have a few ideas of things I want to do but I’d love any suggestions on attractions/events/sights or even day trips from there. Similarly I’m spending about 7/8 days in Ireland and I only have Dublin at this stage, what are some of the best places in Ireland to visit and stay (that are easy to get to via public transport from Dublin) or even day trips from Dublin, plus things to do etc. Lastly, I’m staying in Edinburgh for about five days, what are some must dos or recommendations for that area, or day trips (I’m already pretty set on doing a day tour to the highlands and Loch Ness so if anyone knows of a particular tour/company that is good, let me know!)
Like I said I have an idea of a few things I wanna do but I’d love input from others or suggestions that I may not have known about! Any other tips of help would be appreciated!
