Feeling bad about having a bad time traveling?
Any of y’all ever experience this? Just had a life changing 3.5 weeks in Vietnam, first time traveling, and i went by myself. Made friends for life, had a wonderful romance, and fell in love with Vietnam.
Decide to extend my layover in Hong Kong for 4 nights because obviously I don’t want to end! First day I was too shot to really achieve much, second day I explored central, went to the botanical garden and the park, and walked up to Victorias peak. All felt so... eh. I think NYC ruined me because Im not very wowed by the city itself, and after North Vietnam the view was pretty eh. Then to cap it off I got food poisoning last night and spent all day in bed day. So im sitting here, eating after forcing myself to leave my room and sprint back like, “wow, im actually having a bad time right now.” I know its not my fault for getting sick, and I probably should have stayed at a hostel initially to fix the loneliness, but I’m still just feeling bad about having a bad time!
Anyone ever experience this on your travels?
