Driving from Seattle - Vegas and DC - New York in the summer. 8 days left over, where should we go?
Current plan is to fly into Seattle (mid June time) and work our way down the coast towards Las Vegas. From there, fly across to DC and then up to NYC. We have another 8 days or so to allocate, so I'm looking for some help. Ideas we've had so far...
-
1) More time in California (extra days in LA and SF)
-
2) Fly Vegas ---> New Orleans and spend a few days in the deep south.
-
3) Fly (or drive) NYC to Boston and spend a few days in that area.
-
4) Fly somewhere else and drive from there to DC e.g. Charleston.
Here's the current itinerary:
2 DAYS - Seattle
1 DAY - Portland
1 DAY - Bandon
1 DAY - Eureka/Trinidad area
3 DAYS - San Francisco
2 DAYS - Los Angeles
2 DAYS - Las Vegas
Fly Vegas - DC
3 DAYS - Washington DC
1 DAY - Baltimore
1 DAY - Philadelphia
6 DAYS - NYC (visiting friends, hence extra few days)
We are big foodies and up for any kind of adventure. If you have any feedback or feel that we should spend more/less days in particular areas, please share! We're very excited.
