Being threatened to pay 5000 baht if I want to leave my guesthouse
[THAILAND]
Hi, I'm currently travelling alone in Bangkok for my first time and I am staying here on Workaway. (workaway.info) I was supposed to be staying here for 3 weeks but I've noticed that the host are smokers and the room is not just for volunteers (includes strangers) which was listed otherwise in their profile (broke my trust here). Thus after staying for 2 days I am asking to leave and said I was willing to pay for the nights I spent here (200 baht × 3 nights). Instead they are saying that the trust has been broken and that I must pay 5000 baht for the training and accommodation etc. and if not they will send my passport to their Thai friends who have connections with the Thai police so I get in trouble.
Is this allowed? I seriously am willing to just pay the 5000 baht and leave because I don't want to be associated anymore but I feel like they're not allowed to be doing this. What should I do?
