Passport and visa checks in Ushuaia among other things

I'm finally doing my first solo trip to Argentina and Chile in just about 15 days! Couldn't be more excited!!! Not much is planned yet and keeping it that way! However, I would like to know if there is there a passport check for travelling to Isla Navarino from Ushuaia? Since it is in Chile and not Argentina? Similarly if I am to go to the national park west of Ushuaia and walk into Chile, can I get in any trouble then? And what is the best way to avoid getting your passport stamped when going north up to Torres del Paine and el Chalten, do I have to fly if I dont want a stamp?

I also plan on doing a lot of hiking and camping, spending as many nights as possible in my tent. It would be sweet being able to live mostly on fishing, has anyone done something like that? Where you camp and catches your own dinner? I know I would need to get a season permit and such but how much fish are there really? There are a lot of lakes in the mountains but not all can have fish in them right? Is this worth it or does it just complicate too much?

The whole not getting a stamp thing is based on the 90day visa I can get in both Chile and Argentina. I want to avoid Chile as long as possible since i start in Argentina and want to be able to continue in Chile after my 90days in Argentina is up. Thus making my trip last longer. Thank you travelers!
