I want to go back packing in Europe without a set itinerary, is that a good idea?
I am a 17m who just graduated high school. I am going into the military so I'm not sure how long I will be able to travel in Europe for, but basically I don't want to be constrained by a schedule and I just want to explore the continent spontaneously. I plan to live very cheap (hostels, couch surfing etc) and spend as little as I can. I will probably stay away from expensive cities unless there's something I really want to see. I just want to know, is this a good idea? If it is, any advice? I'm planning to start my trip off in the UK and work up to Norway to see the northern lights, then perhaps go to Eastern Europe and work my way west.
