Horny hostel dudes are the worst, any good stories?
Solo F traveler, in Central America. I am amazed at how safe I feel, and how diverse the hostel crowd is, but I keep to myself and prefer my own company.
However, I still see way too much.
In the evening, I heard my new roommate telling my bunkmate over cards in the lounge how he is struggling to find any girls, tinder sucks here, etc. My bunkmate was like “yeaaah...” and said this town wasn’t really a good place for that (awkward bro talk).
Last night, I was last to bed, but I woke up in the middle of the night and someone in my two-bunk dorm (3 Guys and me) was making weird noises.
I thought maybe someone was having a nightmare, tossing and crying in their sleep..but I soon realized there was a rhythmic fwap fwap fwap..the horror sunk in as I realized someone was jerking it in the bunk opposite me.
I decided to ignore it and quickly fell asleep, because I trusted the guy below me to protect me, it’s a good family hostel, and I knew the security guard was about 20ft away..but I had a nightmare someone came up to my top bunk and groped my boob and put their hand on my mouth so I couldn’t scream. It was definitely a nightmare because I woke up after.
I am just sooo tired of horny dudes. The local people aren’t bad at all, it’s all the lonely American 20-25yo’s that make it creepy.
I am definitely going back to female dorms ASAP, what a shame I enjoyed how quiet the mixed dorms usually are.
