Vietnam Itinerary - Solo Travel
Hi Everyone,
I'm traveling on my first solo trip to Vietnam and need some help with my itinerary. I'll be in Vietnam for 24 days and will be traveling from South to North in Late February to Mid March.
So far I have planned:
Saigon - 6 Days (Mekong Delta and Cu-Chi Tunnels Tour with extra days just exploring the city)(Booked-won't be able to adjust Saigon)
Hue - 1 Day (Fly in to Hue, not sure if I want to increase it to 2 days)
Hoi An - 6 Days (Private transfer from Hue to Hoi An via Hai Van Pass, My Son, make some suits while here)
Danang - 6 Days (Ba Na Hills, Son Tra Peninsula, Marble Mountain)
Hanoi - 7 Days (Fly into Hanoi, Day Trip to Ninh Binh/Tam Coc/Trang An, still debating on a 1 night trip to Ha Long Bay, remainder of the week will be exploring Hanoi)
I know the math is wrong but the some cities are overlapping each other while I'm traveling to the next destination.
Is Hue worth an extra night stay if I fly in early to see all the sites?
Is Ha Long Bay worthwhile or should I try to find a day trip?
I know there is a lot to see for Vietnam but I'll probably come back some other times with my friends or another solo trip to see Sapa, Phong Nha, Da Lat, Qui Nhon and Nha Trang.
Any input will be appreciated!
